Mom: Now that makes no sense, a 200 hundred dollar shoe. Now, what I don't understand is that when Kanye was growing up, he couldn't afford all of the pricy things that he wanted; and he knows how it feels when you can't afford the higher priced things that you want. So why would he make a 200 dollar shoe knowing many kids would want it but can't afford it? He has been in the same position as the kids who can`t afford things, and he goes and makes a costly shoe. Who is he trying to impress

it's not up to kanye. it's nike's decision. it costs maybe like $25 max to produce the shoe, another $25 to sell it to the stores, and then another $25 for the store to make a profit. BUT in some cases, like the Yeezys and many of the other expensive ass Nike's, they make the price stupid high because it makes the product seem special. And they already know that people WILL buy the shoe, so why not? They're not risking anything
